PAL is excited to announce our first Golf Tournaments series for middle school students! These events are open to players entering 7^th, 8^th and 9^th grade for the 2026-27 school year.

Cost: $45 per tournament

These tournaments are designed for players who already have a solid understanding of the game. Participants should have experience playing multiple rounds of golf, be comfortable navigating the course and be able to maintain pace of play. This is not intended for beginners who have not yet played on a course.

Players will:

·        Carry their own bags

·        Keep score for their group/opponents

·        Follow proper golf etiquette and rules

Parents are not permitted on the course. Suffolk County PAL officers will be present to assist with pace of play and rules.

Field limit: 24 participants per event

-         You may register for one tournament or multiple- whatever fits your schedule.

-         Start time: 4:00pm

-         Format: 6 holes (2-hour maximum from tee time)

-         Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in

·        June 7- Rolling Oaks GC, Rocky Point (Individual Play)

·        July 19- Northport GC, Northport (Individual Play)

·        August 2- Northport GC, Northport (2 Person Team Scramble- sign up with a friend!)

·        August 16- Rolling Oaks GC, Rocky Point (2 Person Team Scramble- sign up with a friend!)

·        August 26- Heartland GC, Brentwood (Individual Play)

Awards: Prizes for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place

6 Weeks of competitive and intramural co-ed outdoor basketball at Anthony Casamento Park in Bay Shore. Registration begins March 15, 2026, and ends June 1, 2026. Registration after June 1 will be placed on a waitlist. Team registration will also be accepted and highly encouraged for Junior (entering grades 5/6), NCAA (entering grades (7/8), and NBA (entering grades 9,10,11,12) Divisions. If a team is registering, players must register online and coaches MUST email team rosters to [email protected]. Emailed rosters need to include- Grades entering, Coaches (one assistant allowed) first & last names, coach's contact cell number, players first and last names. Game schedules have not been created but games will be played weeknight evenings and Saturday mornings and afternoons. Practices times will be available during the weeknight evenings, but practices are determined by the coach.

This summer we will also offer an intramural division for grades entering 3 to 12. Intramural division is for new players and beginner ONLY. Intramural is for players that have never played organized basketball before or have played organized basketball but do not feel comfortable to play on a team yet. The intramural division will have 2 weekly practices in the evenings and some scrimmages, but they will not be playing against the competitive teams. PAL is creating this opportunity to give older in age but new players an opportunity to learn the sport before being put into a game situation against more skilled players. Players CANNOT register for both the Intramural and Competitive leagues.

Both intramural and competitive league players will receive uniform shorts and shirts.

Please note: The Suffolk County Police Department needs certain information from participants so we can receive specific grant money that helps fund all PAL programs. This information has no effect on participation and will not be used against your child in any way.

PAL Summer Fishing Trips include 3 hours of fishing, poles & bait, plus cleaning of fish for children. Adult supervision is provided by PAL Officers and the Staff of Bay Princess 2.

Cost is $28 ($25 PAL fee + $3 Registration fee) Per Child/Per Trip

-children are advised to bring a bag lunch

-Large youth groups- please contact a PAL Officer before registering. For youth groups: 1-2 chaperones may attend at children's price.
